May 12th, 2013 · No Comments

The Lazy Man’s Method to Putting Together a Playlist:

  • Do an mp3 database search using the word “mother.”
  • Listen to the last 15 seconds of each song to ensure that it flows reasonably well into the next…
  • …If not, rearrange the songs to create the least jarring audio landscape possible.
  • Search the internet for images, using the following search parameters: mother rock and roll.
  • Throw images and audio onto a blog.
  • Burn the playlist onto a disc.
  • Listen to it later.

The Silver Seas’ “I’m the One”

May 11th, 2013 · 2 Comments

Some musical artists are torture artists, as well – torturing their fans with seemingly endless waits between releases. The supposed cover art is simple and stunning and polished [click on the image to see it full-blown big]:

It is now slated for release on July 5th.

A sly guerilla-style video has just popped up for the album’s “I’m the One.” It’s a hoot, with Daniel hanging out in a mall, riding its carousel, singing aboard a kiddie train, and chatting up a Johnny Rockets waitress while the staff sing and dance in the background. As always, the melody worms its way into your brain…
