Spitball Army

I found this small political advertisement (it’s the size of a business card) at a local antique mall that is, sadly, going out of business.  That’s where most of the postcards are from, too.

Card is titled:  “Treasury St., Narrowest Street in United States. 7 Feet Wide.  St. Augustine, Florida, The Oldest City in the United States.”

Printed on back of postcard:

TREASURY STREET
Narrowest Street in the United States, 7 feet wide.  Once used as a highway, in Spanish period this block preserved by the city as a historic feature.  Three other blocks have been widened for modern traffic demands but here hands can easily clasp from opposite buildings.

His fists pound the bully; he exacts revenge, astride the tough’s chest, channeling his aggressor in a radiant moment of re-spite.

The cellist rocked; his partner’s hands rolled over the keyboard. They followed Beethoven with “Truckin’.” The audience: grateful.
