Spitball Army

We Have Signal, a live television program filmed at Birmingham’s Bottletree Cafe, premiered on Alabama Public Television on October 5th.  The show, a 30-minute episodic live show reminiscent of Austin City Limits – kind of like ACL‘s younger, scrappier sibling – features new and innovative bands from all over America, including some internatonal artists and, of course, some based right here in the ‘Ham.

The first show featured The Dodos, from San Francisco.

The program airs on Thursday and Sunday nights, at 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., respectively. A “demo reel,” which gives a nice overview of the show and some of the performances, can be viewed on the show’s myspace page.  The show schedule can be found on the APT website.
