I protested loudly (to myself) a couple of weeks ago when I read Michael Pollan’s piece in the New York Times Magazine. In “Out of the Kitchen, Onto the Couch,” Pollan posits that the relatively recent glut of TV cooking shows is partially responsible for Americans spending less time in the kitchen. I disagree.
The Las Vegas Airport terminal is busy. Not overwhelmingly so, but steady streams of travelers are moving in all directions along the walkways. There is no airline representative at our gate but, by simply reading the Arrival/Departure screens banked against the wall, we determine the gate location of our connecting flight. Then, we enter the human flow.

I’ve mentioned casually several times on this blog that there are piles of things throughout my house. If you’ve been there, you know the condition; if you haven’t, there may be room for you to visit in the near future. I have been going through all the “stuff” inch by inch. There is so much of it! Here, for instance, are some ticket stubs that I have been hanging onto for some reason…maybe just to provide material for a series of blog posts!
