Oh, I forgot to mention that Ron played his own version of Nick Lowe’s “Where’s My Everything?” during his set. He said he’d asked Lowe if he would sing it, Nick told him it wasn’t on his list this tour, so Ron asked if he could sing it.
This humorous bit of promotional “marketing” was uncovered over the past weekend inside an advance package containing the Bodies and Minds CD by Great Lake Swimmers.

Ed Harcourt will be performing on The Tonight Show (hosted by Taylor Hicks’ uncle, Jay Leno) this evening! Word from the NBC website states that Harcourt will be playing a song from his amazing ”new” album The Beautiful Lie, which actually was released in 2006…it just took the United States record industry two years to get it out here.

The chord progression sounds remarkably similar to The Eagles’ song “Hotel California.” I found myself humming “Hotel California” this evening while within earshot of the TV, then was startled when I heard the “Aquarius” chorus join me at the end of the ad.

My post of January 21st, 2008 was admitedly weak, consisting of only a YouTube link to a video that Ryan Adams created while noodling in the studio. Sadly, someone decided to remove the video from YouTube, so that the video link on the post leads nowhere now.
