Those are some very cool postcards. … I have another California postcard by Robert Freeman and I’m trying to figure out if the Freeman who photographed these California postcards is the same Freeman who is well-known for his work on Beatles photography and album covers. Any idea?

Hey, Chris. I would guess that these are two different Robert Freemans, as it’s a fairly common name. Freeman, the Beatles photographer, has lived in England most of his life (according to his website’s bio of him), though he apparently did live in New York from 1970 to 1972…

I have a card #102 of Robert Freeman, titled “Reflections on a Quiet Stream.” It has a picture of his wife, Shirley Ehmke, who was an acquaintance of mine many years ago. If possible, would she contact us by e-mail? We still live in Santa Barbara.
