…and having to drive to either Atlanta or Montgomery to see the film I’m Not There at the end of the month.
I’m just now starting to notice and investigate what new music is on the way for the coming months. It looks OK.

Shelby Lynne’s little sister, Allison Moorer has an album coming out in February. To me Allison’s output has been more consistent that her older sibling. As a bonus, Buddy Miller is producing Allison’s new album, Mockingbird.

I just listened to Tift Merritt’s new album, Another Country. I think it’s her best yet. Since I don’t have a local music store anymore, I’ve resorted to Amazon and Ebay for my music purchases. I really miss the instant gratification of popping a new album in my car player as soon as I buy it.

Yeah, it sucks, doesn’t it.
I just got the new Kathleen Edwards CD, and it is mighty fine. I’ll listen to that Tift CD, too!
PS. I just added a new page for recommended CDs, etc., titled “Some things I’ve been diggin'” All it needs is an update…
