This specimen of Lunar rock was collected by Apollo 11 astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin during the historic first walk on the moon, July 20, 1969. Fist-sized and weighing about a pound, the rock is composed of material called micro-breccia, a loosely compacted mix of powdered glass, crystalline rock and debris.
