Spitball Army

One of several watercolor picture/postcards that were apparently scissor-cut from a postcard book featuring scenes in and around Birmingham, Alabama.

This card pictures “Comer Building, Birmingham, Ala.”

The 1913 Comer Building is currently known as the City Federal Building, and is located at the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and 21st Street North. For nearly 56 years after its completion, it was the tallest building on the Birmingham skyline.
