    It shows you how quick life is changing. The Elvis Costello song is from 1983, the year after we graduated college. He talks about using an electric typewriter, but by the end of the decade that machine would be obsolete.

    That’s so funny and so true, David. I unearthed my old electric typewriter just yesterday during a cleaning jag. Now I’m wondering if I really need to hang onto it. I still use an ancient Smith-Corona manual upright in my office from time to time, so probably “Yes.”
