Still with you in my thoughts and spirit – yes, my heart is with you too, Lover and I’m still loving you, as always, more and more as time passes.
Would like to tell you about the meeting I attended 2 nights ago. A group of young women from our Club want to do their part in making the Amer.-born Japanese soldier, who has proved loyal to our U.S. feel welcome amongst us in the ‘Y.’ I am working as a sponsor on this project and have volunteered a Sat. per month. A Lt. spoke to us about this particular army and feels the need for this type of thing. Bowling alleys will be opened in the ‘Y’ bldg. for the boys. There will be games, dancing, piano playing, and singing. Their wives and friends may be invited also. I feel that such a program is a minute sample of what we hope to attain in the post-war period – that is endeavoring to end racist discrimination and attempting a world partnership whereby we may work on a cooperative basis and create a feeling of equality. There can be no domination or isolationism. God is the Father – and all humanity – one family –
