One of the dogs on the island had pups. So to get rid of them, they gave one pup to each company in the battalion.

I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to extend my Christmas greetings in any way other than by a letter. Then they handed out these cards.

This last week has been a week of changes. I was in a rifle platoon as assistant automatic rifleman. Then, I was transferred to Hdqs. Plt. and given a flame thrower. The same day I was called up for an interview about getting into radio work.
