Dearest Mary:

Here is a few more lines Darling telling you that I love you so much.  I can fill this letter just saying that but you will get tired of that won’t you Dearest?  I am well and every thing is getting along.  I am in charge now for Werth is on pass and boy I am having some time, but I can make out O.K.  Darling I only wish that that I was up with you again for I never had such a wonderful time in my life as I did when I was stationed up there and got to see you almost every night.  I did not know that I was so lucky Darling, till I left.  Mary I would do almost any thing to be up with you, but washing dishes.  You will forgive me for not helping you won’t you Dearest?  I might think about it sometime,

Mary have you been to any more shows since I was up there?  I went to a good movie here on the base tonight.  The name of it was The Angels Sing.  It sure was a good picture.  If it ever comes up there Darling, go and see it, for it is the best one that I saw for a long time.  Darling did you get our pictures yet? and Please Dearest let me know if you had enough money to get them.

Darling if you get your picture taken with your hair down please get one of them colored.  Will you please, just for me?  It don’t matter if it does take a long time.

Darling have you received any letters from Mom yet?  It has been about three weeks since I heard any thing but I guess I will get a letter before long.  I haven’t even had a letter from you Dearest since I have been back, and Hank has not received any from Betty either, but we will get a lot of them all at once.

Darling I am going to eat the cake, for I can not send it home.  I will send the letter that you wrote and tell them all about it.  I guess that will have to do, won’t it Darling?

How have you been getting along with the twerps in the office since I heard from you last?  I bet you had a time when Anna came back to work.  Tell them the next time I get up there they will have something to talk about.  That is if they know I am there at all.

Darling how have you been feeling the last few weeks?  I hope that your side has not bothered you any more.  Please let me know.  Will you Dearest?  You know by this time don’t you Dearest that you can not keep me from finding out.

Tell Mom and Jimmie that I am sending them my love, and I hope to see them before long.  I will have to close for this time Darling and say Good Night.

All My Love now and for always.
Your Lonely Husband Till I am with You.
Harry.

Mary Darling:

I suppose you are getting tired of the short letters, but Dearest there is nothing around here to write about.  The only thing that I can say is that I am well and getting along.  I hope Darling that you are well and getting along fine.  I miss you more all the time Darling and I know that you miss me.  The time goes a lot faster or seems to any way Darling, when there is something to look forward to every three weeks, but you know Dear that it still goes away t too slow to suit me.  I am answering one of your letters that you wrote on the 24th of December.  I only wish that I would of received the letter before I came up there.  But Darling we can start what you was talking about then I got up there again.  That is if you still want to Dearest.  Do you still think you will?

I was looking for a letter from you today Darling but none came.  I haven’t received a letter since I was up there but they will start arriving before long.

Darling did you get caught up with your work yet in the office yet? or are the girls deviling you so much that you don’t have a chance to work?  Darling please don’t work when I get up there again.  I miss you so awful much that I want to be with you every minute that I can and Darling I will try and catch up on the kisses you sent me.  Do you think that I can Dearest?

Don’t forget Mary Dear that we will have the other room when I am there again for you know how it was the last time.  The place will not be as wide but Darling we don’t take much room, do we Darling.  I was dreaming about you last night Dearest and it was a wonderful dream.  I thought I had you in my arms and I could feel your sweet lips on mine and it was so nice, but something woke me up before the dream was finished and I was so disappointed and I missed you so much.  Darling I hope you don’t dream and almost choke your Mother when you have your arms around her neck like she said you did.  Darling you better wait till I get there before you dream like that again.  Darling it is a good thing that I sleep by my self when I get to dreaming or it is hard to tell what might happen.  I will have to say Good Night now Darling for it is getting late.  I miss you so much and I am sending you all my love till I see you

Your lonesome Loving Husband,
Harry.

Darling Mary:

Well here is another little note letting you know that I received that I love my Darling little wife more and more.  I am well and getting along.  I received a letter from you today Dearest.  It was the one with the names in it.  Darling I think they were just fine, all we need now is what they are for.  Dear you said there was a dozen stamps in the parcel you sent me.  I could only find six.  I still have a lot yet so please don’t worry.  I will always find stamps to send my letters to you for, Darling, I just could not keep from writing.  I thought it would be hard writing every night but you know, Dearest, it is not so hard after all.  These notes of mine might seem crazy to you, but I don’t know.  You see Darling there is nothing to say only that I love you so awful much, and always will for ever.

Darling I forgive you for the trick you played on me at Tay Port [Tayport, across the Firth of Tay river from Dundee], but Dearest what would I do if I came up there and it was not a trick?  What if I would just move it?  But Darling I don’t think I would.  Do you Dopey Darling?

Darling how was New Years up there in Dundee? around where you live?  Hirsch just got back from up there today and he said he sure had a time.  I only wish that I could have been up there to celebrate New Years with you.

Darling you know what I said about just looking at you?  Well my Dear just forget I said that for I could never just look at you with out kissing you.  I guess you know that by now don’t you Dopey.  Dear you know I never felt like I did the first night before in my life.  You was the first one I ever went to bed with before in my life besides my Mother when I was about the size of Jimmie so you know how it would be.  Darling it seems like every body up there has a baby son.  So Darling we will have to be in style with the rest, but it might be some time yet.

Well Darling I am sending you another pound in this and I sure hope that you get it.  Let me know how many you receive will you Dear?  This pound will make three so far.  I will send you two more yet then I will have to quit for a while for I want some when I come up.  Well Dopey how is the work at the office getting along.  Tell the bunch of twerps that you work with that I said Hello and to stay away from the house and let us sleep when I am with you.

I am going to say Good Night now my Darling Wife till tomorrow
All My Love Forever
Your Loving Husband
Harry.
