If my mother had asked us this question as kids, or something similar (like “Want me to make a positive difference and fight for ALL of South Oceanside children’s future from OUTSIDE of our kitchen?”), we would have just looked at her as if she had sprouted a second head on her shoulders.

By the time I pulled this video from YouTube, it had been viewed over a million times. And that’s not including the multipe versions of it that have probably been viewed as many times each. But, in case you haven’t seen it yet, this is an inteview that Governor Palin just gave at a turkey farm.
What on earth are our underpaid teachers, laboring in the vineyards of education, supposed to tell students about the following sentence, committed by the serial syntax-killer from Wasilla High and gleaned by my colleague Maureen Dowd for preservation for those who ask, “How was it she talked?”
One bittersweet discovery was a cardboard box of cassette tapes that must have been in the trunk of my car at one time. There was a Sting mix tape without even one Police song (huh!?!) and a Fats Waller mix tape (hooray for Fats!!), and four really mixed-up mix tapes titled “Fred FM,” volumes 1, 2, 4 and 6.

You’d never know it from the last few months of the presidential campaign, but John McCain has a great sense of humor. I’ll opine that things might be going a little differently for the Republican Party’s nominee if the one appearing in these clips from last night’s Saturday Night Live broadcast was the same one going on the stump throughout the swing state circuit.
