You’d never know it from the last few months of the presidential campaign, but John McCain has a great sense of humor. I’ll opine that things might be going a little differently for the Republican Party’s nominee if the person appearing in these clips from last night’s Saturday Night Live broadcast was the same person going on the stump throughout the swing state circuit. But only a little differently.

I agree. McCain has appeared on late-night programs for years and has always displayed a very good sense of humor. If he had kept up that attitude during his Presidential campaign instead of becoming a raving lunatic, I think it would’ve been closer.
